And what I do for for halving, um, I'm a engineering systema, system engineer. I work remotely for a company, a global company, and I halving, um, personal project, uh, personal or or, yes, it's a family project. We have a tiny coffee shop in Cuernavaca. Um, I'm from Mexico. So, yeah, this is my passion. [eldudedelcafe - 00:10:17] Uh, I I love coffee. I love drinking coffee. I learned to roast my own coffees, uh, five or six years ago. You guys I went I was, uh, in Cuernavaca last year, part of a tour that I was, uh, doing, uh, talking to to to bank employees. And one of those, uh, cities I visited was Cuernavaca. I was, uh, glad to talk to Selik and all the people over there, and they organized a a a meetup. So we met, uh, met the the community over there, and it's they're really passionate. They're really fun. I met Angel. I tasted his coffee because, uh, he gave me some at that time, and it it's amazing. It's great. And and and how how did you, uh, end up doing coffee? Yeah. How how how did did that passion start? [eldudedelcafe - 00:11:27] I think, um, I think all my life well, not my life, but in the university, I start to drink coffee. But I think, uh, start with soluble. I'm not sure what is the word for soluble, but it was Nescafe and some some coffee that, uh, in the at at this moment, uh, I really don't like to drink this this type of coffees. But I start that. Maybe it web3 for the the caffeine and makes me, uh, makes me wake up in the mornings. But after that, I I met, uh, some good friends in a couple of hours from. I I met a coffee guy that told me different types of coffee, different types of process. So I drink a cup of coffee, like, a cup pan that I remember the flavor was like, um, orange, like a limon. And when I taste it, my my mind was, well, oh, what what I'm drinking right now, this is not coffee. [eldudedelcafe - 00:12:35] This is not the the coffee that I usually drink. So in this moment, I cripto research. I try to find, uh, another coffee shops, and I found the specialty coffee that it's it's maybe a different category of coffee that is speciality say specialisa in, um, the process of the coffee and the traceability of the coffee. So you can get Okay. Some blockchain there maybe? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The the there are, um, a lot of of brands that is working in in Mexico, uh, direct with the with the farmers and especially in the process of the bean. So we have wash wash coffee, natural coffees, honey coffees, and each one has a different flavor. It's a different cup of coffee when you drink it. But, uh, I heard the the idea, and, uh, I really like it. So one of my goals of of this year is try to improve my English. Uh, I don't like to speak in English, but I it it's necessary. It's necessary to to try to, uh, I just say. And, yeah, I I just took this idea from Valentin. Uh, I'm I'm trying to build something with that with with this idea. I really appreciate the the support that Valentina and Fratero crew mining me or give me in in this last week. Uh, as you as you can hear right now, my English is not not it's not very good. But Mining think I think if we can practice, uh, every week, every day, maybe ten minutes, fifty minutes, uh, at the time that you you decide to to to do for this, we can we can do it better, uh, anytime. So the idea is well, the the the initiative was called a Spanglish room because the idea is that you you don't you don't have the the fluid or to talk in English. Uh, you can do it in Spanish and their English. So the idea is the as a team or as a group, we can help us to maybe try to explain some ideas, or maybe there are some words that, um, never never said before and try to do it in a safe space. [eldudedelcafe - 00:19:04] So, uh, the Bitconf, the Futero Discord is, uh, our fears come, but the idea is that more people can can, um, web3 take the idea. In the future, we have more host or most spaces. I think there are more people that don't like to to be in Discord. There there are, like, more to be in a space or maybe in another platform. But the idea is we can form a group of hosts that maybe I have one hour this week, and I can host this space. So it's for it's for anyone that can jump and mining to maybe maybe or maybe they they have a important [meximalist - 00:19:58] meeting and need they need to practice some some ideas with the group. So the idea is that all I love that. I love that. Having a a goal and practicing for that goal, I think that'll help a lot. That'll pressure every anyone to to to to learn quicker. You get rusty. It it's hard to, uh, re re resume your the level that you had if you're not practicing constantly. So why Futero, uh, is helping this happen, and and what do you think about the the initiative? And why do you think we need it? [ValeCreativo - 00:25:22] When we were in Argentina, I discovered specifically on my team that we needed to practice English. You know, we were trying to do business. We were trying to do, like, um, contact different communities. And I I noticed that my team and myself, we had limitations. And wallet we were trying to transmit ideas and, well, trying to do business and make things happen, some of my team were like, dude, I'm not comfortable speaking with that person because I don't know how to speak English. So, uh, I was like, dude, we need to do we knew we need to make something because we're losing opportunities if we don't do something about this. You know? And then not only my team, but the community, as we were hosting the the coworking, the daily coworking before the dev connect. Um, a lot of people that arrived there were like, dude, I'm not comfortable with it. [ValeCreativo - 00:26:23] And I'm in Argentina. We should be speaking Spanish, but you know? And then I I was a mentor on the BNB hackathon, and I was the only mentor that spoke Spanish, and and Mitch was as well. But, um, um, we were in Argentina in a hackathon full of Argentinians, and Argentinians are not usually like, they are super far away from from United States, so they don't really need to learn English. So when I arrived as a mentor to this hackathon, they were like, dude, do you speak Spanish? Thank god. You know, I needed someone that speaks Spanish. I needed I needed to communicate my idea. I need someone to mentor me. And that's why I I I was like, dude, we need to make something. You know? Like, people are missing opportunities. We because we well, BMB Hackathon had a a great, like, tier of mentors, but the hackers were not able to communicate with them. [ValeCreativo - 00:27:24] So there were wallet of lost opportunities. Uh, even the BNB global team that were in charge of it, they didn't have anyone that that speaks Spanish. So the the language barrier was, uh, really important. So that's why I was proposing that we should make something, and Angel, I remember on that space you were hosting it, Angel answered, like, hey, Valentin. That's a great idea. We should do it. And I was like, we should? But eventually [meximalist - 00:27:58] I don't have time now. [ValeCreativo - 00:28:00] Eventually. And then he eventually sent a message like, man, I'm I'm making it happening. You know? I'm I'm going to make it happen. And I told him, like, okay, Emma, that's now on the stage. Emma, please contact Angel. Please help him, and let's make it happen, you know, because we already have a community that it's interested into these solutions. So instead of him doing it alone, we can provide the infrastructure of the Discord or the Discord is a test. You know? Like, we don't we're we're testing if Discord is a platform to make it happen. But in case it is not, we can go to Google Meet. We can go to spaces. We can go to whatever. But the the main idea was, okay. You have an initiative. And it's not only in the big cities, but also I don't know, Maxi, if you remember in in the in Monat Hackathon, we had three girls that came from Oaxaca from the from the mountains, and they were proposing an initiative to protect, um, indigenous, like, fabrics and textiles. And they won a prize, And, you know, I I was in contact with them, and it was life changing because they were student, uh, computer engineering. And for them to come to Mexico City and to present at a hackathon and also to speak in English, that for them was super hard. [ValeCreativo - 00:39:10] It was a challenge. And, you know, to simply, like, discover this world for them was insane. And now we're bringing it to Oaxaca, and we're reaching different universities. We want to contact these girls to be ambassadors in their university as well. And the main idea is to prove the talent is decentralized in the paradise because Puerto Escondido is a paradise and Oaxaca City is a paradise. So, um, it's going to be life changing for everyone that goes there. It's going to be full of like, from basic workshops for people that are starting to building and full of, like, advanced workshops for people that are already building and then are wanting to increase their capabilities. I am an ambassador in the Stellar community. They invited me to to to give a talk over there, and I went to a university, and we did a day long trip. There's other things that I cannot speak about right now, but we're doing, uh, initiatives over the that are hackathon style, um, during the during this first q one.
